You’re Just To Good To Be True, Can’t Take My Eyes Off You…

We are beyond excited to finally get to show a preview from Sonia & Andrew Rubalcaba’s wedding day. We’ve been friends with these two for years and were so happy when they got engaged – then they asked us to photograph their wedding. They were married at St. Ann Parish in Coppell, with the reception following at Royal Affairs Ballroom in Historic Downtown Lewisville. We asked Sonia & Andrew to provide us some insight of their wedding day from their individual perspectives. Congrats to one of the most awesome couples in the world!

[client_story]Sonia Arriving At The Church: The first people I saw were Chris & Angela – they came over and gave me a big hug, which made me feel great and calmed my nerves! I walked into my dressing room and my bridesmaids were there, they looked so beautiful and I think at this time I finally became excited, not that I wasn’t before, it just helped to see my longtime friends in the room – laughing and talking![/client_story]

[client_story]Andrew Arriving At The Church: I started getting ready around 12:15 and was completely dressed and ready to go by 12:45. I got to the church and joined up with the rest of my groomsmen. We took some early pictures without me being able to see Sonia.[/client_story]

[client_story]Sonia’s First Look, Andrew No Peeking: I had decided that I wanted to do “first look” pictures…but without Andrew actually looking at me! Angela lead Andrew down the courtyard with his eyes closed while I was behind him, I got nervous but really excited and happy. When I finally made it next to Andrew, he still had his eyes closed, it made me so happy and giddy especially since I could see how handsome he looked, I felt so proud that I was about to become his wife![/client_story]

[client_story]Wedding Ceremony Begins, Andrew Describes: When 2pm hit the whole show started. I was really happy seeing my grandparents walk before me. On my way down it filled me with joy to see our friends and families who over the years had shared so many memories with us. Then when Sonia finally walked down one of my favorite memories was having her father hand her over to me.[/client_story]

[client_story]Wedding Ceremony Begins, Sonia Describes: As my parents and I made our way to the front of the church where Andrew was waiting for me, I remember looking around, looking at friends faces, all of them were smiling, snapping pictures, it was awesome! When we reached the altar my mom blessed me and hugged me, OMG it was finally here! As my Dad was shaking Andrews hand, I was watching Andrews face and he looked so happy and he got teary eyed; as my dad turned to me to place my hand in Andrews’ I saw that my dad was also teary eyed. The time was finally here, my dad was giving me away to Andrew![/client_story]

[client_story]Andrew Continues: Once the ceremony started things just went by so fast. I had fun being up there with the priest as he spoke to us about what God’s plan was for us and our marriage. I remember at one point looking over to see my great-grandmother. Again I was filled with such joy and Thank the Lord for allowing her to be there with me on this joy filled day.[/client_story]

[client_story]Sonia Continues: When I heard Andrew say his vows I wanted to bust out laughing out of pure joy! I was feeling absolutely happy, amazement, awe, and relief all at once! It was such an amazing unforgettable time![/client_story]

[client_story]Andrew Continues: Once the priest pronounced us man and wife I knew it was all real. I had finally married the woman God had chosen for me and put in my life 5 years ago. It was God answering my prayers when 5 years prior to me meeting Sonia, I had prayed to God for a loving woman who would understand me and love me for me.[/client_story]

[client_story]Sonia Continues: I felt that now we were one, God had joined us, he had taken all my worries away and replaced them with pure joy and peace.[/client_story]

[client_story]Sonia On Their First Dance: At the reception, we had such a great time! It was so wonderful to see all of our family and friends in one place! We danced so much and laughed so much. For our first dance, we danced to Mana – Vivir sin aire, Andrew & I always dance to it at home and he sings it to me, so I asked him to sing it in my ear that night![/client_story]

[client_story]Andrew Loves The Reception: As the night went on we had so much fun dancing with our family and friends to all kinds of music. . Here we were among our families and friends having the best day of our lives.[/client_story]
